Monday of this week, the good Lord admonished me and corrected me in the matter of prayer.  I pray everyday and talk to Him throughout the day, but lately they have been short prayers.  It was as if He was telling me to spend even more time with Him on my knees.  It also occurred to me that the Lord wanted me to share more about prayer with you friends here.  Actually, last year I did write an article titled "Faith and Prayer Work Together".  There were two short sermon clips included in that post which were by Andrew Murray; one clip on prayer, and the other clip on faith.  Here is the link to that article:

Prayer is commanded.  If we are not praying and do not have the desire to pray, then we need to ask ourselves if we sincerely desire time with God, or are we self-absorbed and think only about our fleshly desires and what this world offers.

"Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation:  the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."  -  Jesus at Matthew 26:41

We do not want to fall into the category mentioned by Jesus at John 8:47, which follows:

"He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God."

Keep in mind in the above Scripture, that Jesus was talking to the hypocritical Pharisees and religious leaders.  So if you are a true believer that verse does not apply to you.   However, there are many who profess to be Christians who are not; they claim to be Christians, but it is in name only.  Granted, some may believe they actually are Christians, when in reality they are lost. We need to help them to come to truly know Jesus as their Savior and for them to love Him with all of their being: heart, mind, soul and spirit.  When you learn to put God and Jesus first, and to love Him deeply, you will want to spend much time with Him in prayer and in reading His Holy Word.

E.M. Bounds, who has written many insightful articles on prayer (I have a large book which includes most, if not all, of his thoughts on prayer), has a lot to say about the necessity of prayer.

He tells us to pray for the desire to pray, for such a desire is God-given and heavenly-born. "Spiritual desire, carried to a high degree, is the evidence of the new birth.  It is born in the renewed soul. As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the Word, that ye may grow."  So says Bounds.

"Two things are intolerable to Him (God) - insincerity and lukewarmness," says Bounds, and he goes on to say: "To the Laodiceans He said, in terms of unmistakeable severity  and condemnation:  "I would thou wert cold or hot.  So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue  thee out of my mouth."     This quoted verse is found at Revelation 3:16.   When the Lord says in this verse, "I will spue thee out of my mouth," He literally means to vomit.  What a vivid way of depicting His condemnation where lukewarmness is concerned!

Bounds goes on to comment, "This was God's expressed judgment on the lack of fire in one of the churches , and it is His indictment against individual Christians for the fatal want of sacred zeal."

This sermon is the best I have ever heard on the subject of prayer!  Pastor Rogers tells us, among many things, that prayer bonds us with God; and that God wants to work within us through prayer.  Pastor Rogers says that our prayers are not answered because we are not rooted in the purpose of God.

If you follow this blog, you know there is much information given here on the fact that we are living in the last moments of the last days; and much mention of how ancient Bible prophecies are now coming true.  So much is coming true now that the Bible predicted that many prophecy preachers and scholars say there is no way to keep up with it all; with the convergence of so much prophecy happening at warp speed and all at once now.  Guess what this means?!

Jesus will return any day, any moment now, to take His Bride, the Church, to heaven when He appears in the Rapture!!

Maranatha!  We look forward to that blessed hope!   (Titus 2:13)

Are you Rapture ready?

If you have been saved, born again from above, then you are assured to be taken to heaven when Jesus returns very soon.

If you are carnal, and love the world, and have no desire to know God and His Son, Jesus Christ the Savior, then you are bound for the other alternative.....hell.

But it is not too late!

You do not have to be doomed to eternity in hell!

Jesus loves you and is waiting for you to turn to Him in faith!

Admit you are a sinner and in need of a Savior.  (Romans 3:23)

Believe in Jesus as the Savior and surrender to Him (Romans 6:23 and John 3:16)

Call on the name of the Savior and commit to His will and confess your need of Him   (Romans 10:13)

Romans 10:9,10,13 tells us, (9)  "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (10) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (13) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."   -  John 3:16

The lighthouse is sometimes thought of by Christians as a symbol for our Savior, Jesus Christ, as most of you are very aware.  It has been mentioned on this blog previously.   The trail to this lighthouse is all uphill, but easy to hike for most.  It is about a 2 mile round trip.  

"Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I  am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."   -  John 8:12

The way of Salvation by belief in Jesus as the Savior, and belief in His Resurrection, is not difficult.  A young child can understand salvation.   

What is difficult at times is the uphill climb to reach Jesus, so to speak. And once we go through trials, temptations, hardships, and suffering, we must remain on the trail and path to Him and with Him in order to follow Him in faith and follow in His footsteps. 

"Order my steps in thy word: And let not any iniquity have dominion over me."  -  Psalm 119:133

"Hold up my goings in thy paths, that my footsteps slip not."   - Psalm 17:8

As mentioned in the above Psalm 119, God's Holy Word, the Bible, will help us to understand what it means to be a follower of Jesus.  The Bible is God's love letter to us, as well as His instruction manual for us.  He speaks to us as we read His written Word and we will appreciate and be grateful to Him and Jesus for their love and guidance and tender mercies. Jesus showed His great love for us by dying in our place and paying our sin debt so that we may gain eternal life by faith in Him.

Talk about encouragement and fellowship:  The most important fellowship ever is to be found with our heavenly Father and with Jesus when we read the Bible and pray without ceasing.  When we have a close, personal, intimate love relationship with God through Jesus Christ, His Son, He will always be near us to comfort us, encourage us, strengthen us, and we will experience a love like none other.  God loves it when we draw near to Him, and He will never abandon us.  (Hebrews 13:5; Deuteronomy 31:6)

"He that hath My commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth Me, and he that loveth Me shall be loved of My Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him."  -   Jesus speaking at John 14:21

What this article is leading up to now is the fact that we need to associate with and have fellowship with other believers. Most of us are familiar with Hebrews 10:24, 25 which follows:

(24) "And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:  (25) Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."

The good Lord takes note of our trust and belief in Him , as well as our actions and our speech.

"Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened , and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon His name."  -  Malachi 3:16

When Malachi wrote the above, Israel, as usual, was in disobedience to God.  But there were these few that feared God who spoke often, no doubt, to each other about the Lord.  See how God treats such persons: He paid attention to their words and faith and their hearts and approved of their pure attitude and conversation and a book of remembrance was written.   

The good Lord must also be pleased when true believers gather together and speak of Him and Jesus in our church services today, as well as in other gatherings.

We were not meant to be an island, keeping to ourselves.  

Remember, when Jesus sent His disciples in His own lifetime to preach the gospel, He sent them out by twos.  What the apostles needed in their journeys as preachers, we need equally on our journey through life.  We today need the love and encouragement and spiritual support of other believers.  I thank the good Lord for my loving church family.

All true believers know all that is mentioned above, but there may be some reading this that never attend church, and need the encouragement to do so.  

It is urgent that we encourage one another today, as the world has gotten more evil and corrupt.   The good news is that soon Jesus will Rapture His Bride (the Church) to be in heaven with Him.

Most of you are familiar with signs of the end times in which we find ourselves today.  We do not know the day or the hour of the Lord's return, but Jesus gave us signs to watch for so that we would know the "season" of His return.   Read Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21 for these signs.

I wanted to share with you a recent video concerning Bible prophecy by Pastor Jack Hibbs and Don Stewart.  They cover current events as it relates to the prophecies in the Bible, and Pastor Jack gives a wonderful concluding prayer at the end.  They tell us not to be scared by prophecies, but rather that they are to help you to be prepared.  They tell us that Russia just recently has moved super-bombers to South Africa;  there is much valuable information in this 1 hour and 29 minute video.  I hope you will be able to watch the entire discourse.

"It Won't Be Long Now!" (Videos on End Times and Current Events, Salvation, Amir Tsarfati Update, How To Become A Mature Christian) - Inspirational Weekend

My mind is so full of things that I want to share with you now that I almost don't know where to begin.  Realizing that time is short and that Jesus will return any day now for His Bride (true believers) it is imperative that as much information as possible concerning these last moments of the end times be told as the times are urgent and the message of God and of His Son Jesus Christ must be proclaimed as if there is no tomorrow.  Some will die tonight without knowing Jesus as their Savior.  We should have so much love for Him and for others that we share the Gospel of Jesus and of salvation by Him as if it is our last day on earth.

Times are urgent !  We must be about our Father's business:  winning souls !

"The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life: And he that winneth souls is wise."  -   Proverbs 11:30

Many are aware of the evangelist and Messianic Jew Amir Tsarfati.  He is an Israeli who has many reliable sources of information concerning the Middle East conflict and how it all ties in with Bible Prophecy of these end times we are experiencing right now.  The following 42 minute video by Amir (which was posted today) exposes the lies of the mainstream media and gives us the truth of what is actually happening in the Middle East at this time.

Please take the time to watch the entire video above by Amir.  He talks about the Kurds and what really is true about them and President Trump's reason to leave them on their own.  Much more is discussed above.... you need to hear it.  Amir says, "Let the Lord find us doing His will.  Be ready and spread the Gospel."

Recently there was a news article that said that Americans are becoming less Christian and that over a quarter follow no religion.  Also, that there is a rapid decline in numbers over the past decade.

It is true that religion doesn't save you.  It is a strong, intimate, personal relationship with the Savior Jesus Christ that saves you.  As many of you realize, religions are dead wrong. By that I mean that truth can be found only in a true Bible based Christian church that preaches Jesus and His resurrection and that the only way to heaven is through faith and belief in Christ and His sacrificial death and His redemptive work for us on the cross.  (John 3:16; John 14:6). And many so called modern day Christian churches water down the Gospel and emphasize "feel good" messages that have no depth and no truly saving sermons.  Also, many churches today depend on elaborate entertainment to draw a crowd......thereby some churches are full of unconverted souls as well as  worldly Christians.

Many modern day Christians are lukewarm and not totally surrendered to the good Lord's will.  God and Jesus should be first in our lives.   We should be pouring over the Holy Word (the Bible) daily and praying without ceasing, for in that way we will learn to communicate with our Lord and thereby draw closer to Him.

Do not think that since you are a "babe in Christ" that you need to rely only on Bible Studies at your church, or only on sermons.  We need to do all of that, of course,  but as said many times here previously, the good Lord wants to fellowship with us. He loves us passionately and we should feel the same about Him.  If we truly love God and Jesus, we will want to spend time with Him in our own private prayer time and our own time spent in the Bible, God's love letter to us.  Only by that can you come to know the good Lord intimately and appreciate His love and mercy and patience as you learn more about His attributes as found in the Bible; your love for Him will grow and grow and grow as you learn of His great love for you and for the grace He gives you by saving you and keeping you safe in His loving embrace.  If you do not ever read your Bible or seldom, if ever, pray, you will always remain a "babe in Christ."  You will never reach spiritual maturity and you will not grow as a Christian.  We all need to draw close to the good Lord.

"Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you...."  -   James 4:8 a

If you have trouble in understanding the Bible and don't read it for that reason, you are missing so much spiritual food.  Pray to the Lord for His Holy Spirit to guide you and give you understanding as you read the Bible.  That prayer is definitely within the Lord's will and He will answer it.

Do not be so caught up in pleasure and worldly pursuits that you have no time for God and Jesus.  That is not showing gratitude for Jesus' sacrificial death so that you might have eternal life by faith in Him and in His resurrection.

Following is a 13 minute video by Chad Thomas on end time prophecy concerning the soon destruction of Damascus and also more on the war of Gog and Magog.  Chad believes that the destruction of Damascus (Isaiah 17:1) will occur first and then the war of Ezekiel 38 and 39 will happen during the 7 year Tribulation period.  Right now, Russia, Iran, Turkey, and others mentioned in Ezekiel are in Syria and at the ready to attack Israel.  Bible prophecy being fulfilled right before our very eyes !  Remember, Israel is God's prophetic time clock;  the tribulation period will bring the Jewish people to believe in Jesus, the true Messiah.  Keep your eye on the Middle East !  Better yet, first keep your eye on the good Lord and His many promises as found in the Bible.  God  loved us enough to have the prophets of old warn us about these last days we are living in now!  We do not know the day or the hour of Christ's return, but the Bible gives us warnings as to the "season" of His soon coming to take true believers to heaven to be with Him.  Read Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21 for the signs of Jesus' soon appearance.

"The Good News and The Bad News" (With Videos on The Last Days and The War of Gog and Magog) - Inspirational Weekend

I have often written here that God and Jesus want to fellowship with us; we need to have a close, intimate, personal, love relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ.  We can achieve that if we pray often and if we read our Bibles daily.  You will thereby come to know and appreciate the love of God and Jesus, and their attributes which makes your love for them grow stronger and stronger.   You will want to obey the good Lord out of love and gratitude, and your gratitude will also grow as you see the Lord at work in your life.   

Chad, in the video above, says, "What saves a person is not religion, but a relationship with Jesus Christ."

The good news?   Jesus saves! It is the love of Jesus that embraces us and His sacrificial death on the cross proves His amazing love for us.  He was our substitute at Calvary; He took our place to pay our sin debt, so that if we believe in Him and in His resurrection, we will be saved and have the hope of eternal life.

Romans 10:9,10,13 tells us:  (9) "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (10) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  (13) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

And there is more good news!   So many true believers today are just plain weary and tired of this evil and perverse world.  It has become a more dangerous world; a world where Christians are considered the enemy and even persecuted and put to death.  Actually, that sounds more like bad news. But the good news is the fact that all of this proves we are living in the last moments of the last days and that Jesus will return soon and rescue us from this turbulent and satan controlled world..... Jesus will take us to heaven in the Rapture and we will escape the coming 7 year Tribulation, when the wrath of God is poured out upon wicked persons in the form of plagues, and torments, and fire and destruction.

What exciting times we are living in now!  We are seeing Bible prophecies and/or their precursors converging now like never before.  There is nothing to fear if you are a true follower of Jesus Christ. 

"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."         -  2 Timothy 1:7

"... for the joy of the Lord is your strength."  -  Nehemiah 8:10 b

"Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit."  -   Romans 15:13

"And ye shall be hated of all men for My name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved."    -  Jesus at Matthew 10:22

So the end of days is upon us!

All good news for the true believer, except for his concern for unsaved loved ones who will miss the Rapture and be left behind to face the horrors of the 7 year Tribulation, and eternity in hell if they do not believe in Jesus Christ as the Savior now.   Some will be saved during the Tribulation period, however. (More good news!) Read Revelation 7.

Revelation 7:13, 14 tells us:  (13)  "And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence come they?  (14) And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest.  And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb."

The bad news is the fact that many that are left behind and find themselves in the Tribulation period, will take the mark of the beast so that they may buy and sell and obtain food for themselves and their family.   Those who take the mark of the beast are damned to hell forever, because they have showed their allegiance to the antichrist instead of to God and Jesus.

Revelation 13:16,17 informs us: (16) "And he [the antichrist] causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads. (17) And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast [antichrist], or the number of his name."

There is good news for true believers during the Tribulation that stay true to the good Lord and who do not take the mark of the beast.  True, they will be killed and beheaded for their faithfulness and trust in God and Jesus, but the good news is that they will be rewarded with eternal life and will be with the good Lord.

"And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast [antichrist] , neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years."    -   Revelation 20:4

For true Christians, please warn your unsaved loved ones to not take the mark of the beast during the Tribulation.  But better yet, help them to come to a saving faith NOW before the Rapture of believers and the following Tribulation period.

"Beware Of Modern Versions Of The Bible" (Two revealing and truthful videos) - Inspirational Weekend

The Bible, God's love letter for you, is in danger!  That is, if you read any of the many modern versions, which change and even delete entire verses which are in the King James Version.   Many scholars and pastors believe that these modern versions are preparing us for the coming one world religion and the coming New World Order.  If you do not believe this, check out things that the current pope is doing and saying concerning this soon to come One World Government with its false One World Religion.

Following is a 49 minute sermon by pastor Charles Lawson on the subject of corrupt new versions of the Bible. 

In this sermon, pastor Lawson tells us that the NIV version has changed considerably and will continue to change.  Almost half of the NIV has been changed since its first appearance years ago.

Pastor Lawson also says that the world is being "initiated to be prepared to accept satanism."

Following is a rather lengthy one hour and 46 minute video featuring different pastors and other individuals.  It takes verses from modern versions of the Bible and compares them to the King James Bible.  It tells us that about 15 or 16 verses are omitted in the NIV that are in the King James version.  It discusses other modern versions as well.   In the following video, there is even information on the history of the Bible, and much more.

Please, if you do not have the time to watch both videos above, then skip Pastor Lawson's sermon and watch the link above instead.  It is chock full of insight and interesting facts that are eye-opening.   There is so much to digest in this video, that you may want to pause and get back to it later.   It is rather long, but please be patient and watch all of it.  You will be glad that you did.

Revelation 22:18,19 (KJV) tells us: (18) "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: (19)  And if any man shall take away his part out of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."

Our main concern is to have faith in Jesus and in His Redemption and His taking our place at Calvary....our Substitute, that if we have faith in Him as the Savior and believe in Him and in His resurrection, we may be born again from above and sealed by the Holy Spirit as a child of God. 

"In Whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in Whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise." 
 Ephesians 1:13

1 Corinthians 1:2-5 tells us: (2) "Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:(3) Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. (4) I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;  (5) That in every thing ye are enriched by Him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge."

How can someone be enriched by God and Jesus in all utterance and in all knowledge,  if they are reading a modern corrupt version of the Bible which is mostly man's viewpoint and interpretation and which also leaves out entire verses.   We need the FULL entire Word of God in order to have accurate knowledge and also to feel the Holy Spirit guiding us as we read the reliable King James Bible.

If we are reading a corrupt modern version, which leaves out verses and words found in the King James Bible and even adds words like "new order" and such, we may not have a true understanding of Scripture and miss important information to help us in our walk with the good Lord.  

Also, consider the fact that many (if not all of these modern versions) are copyrighted.  I have not had all versions in my hands to check this out, but it is true of some nonetheless.   Someone has said, "Can you tell me how in good conscience can someone have a copyright on God's Word? The only way to get a copyright on a previously uncopyrighted book is to prove you have changed 40% of the content.  Think about that.....It's one thing to charge for the printing of the book, but to charge for the words?!   The only reason they can get away with this is because these Bibles are THEIR WORDS!  They are no longer God's words because they have changed 40% to obtain copyright."

If you follow this blog, you know that we are in the last moments of the last days of this age of grace.   The shadows of the coming 7 year Tribulation are falling upon us now.  They are preparing for the One World Government as mentioned in the Bible book of Revelation.  That includes the One World Religion mentioned in Revelation 17 and 18.   

Since the Tribulation period is so near, then we know the Rapture of true believers to heaven must be very soon.  God always keeps His promises.  

Make sure that you get the whole truth of God's Word by reading the reliable and proven King James Version.   It has stood the test of time.
