The Bible informs us that most of the end time prophecies would not be truly understood until during the last days, when their fulfillment will begin to take place.
"(4) But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. (9) And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end." - Daniel 12: 4, 9

During the thousand-year reign of Christ on earth (Revelation 20), I am sure we will enjoy even greater splendors; not to mention those found in heaven and in the New Jerusalem (Revelation 21).
